Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) announced on Tuesday that Japan would work with Iran to upgrade quality of car spare parts.
In a meeting with JETRO representative in Tehran, the head of the Institute for Trade Studies and Research of the Ministry of Industries, Mine and Trade Mohammadreza Razavi said that Japan used to supply cars to Iran but now the cooperation will be geared towards increasing productivity and upgrading quality in the auto industry, IRNA reported.
The two sides also reviewed ways to cooperate on manufacturing car spare parts with technical assistance from JETRO, including training, extending know-how in producing spare parts for cars, training and applying advanced methods to improve quality, cost-effective delivery and development (QCDD), JIT management and kaizen method which is a Japanese business philosophy of systematic improvement of products.
Both sides also agreed to hold regular consultations to advance the goals.
